Dr. Levander Question

Though Imperium in Imperio is most useful for analyzing race issues, the book also depicts the hardships of black women (those doubly oppressed during this time) like Belton’s wife Antoinette. Much of the language we use surrounding slavery- like ‘freedman’- is in reference to men and Imperium is an organization of black men, for black men. As likely around 50% of the enslaved (and later oppressed) people of this time were women, it’s interesting to see that they aren’t present in much of the discussion of civil rights in the book considering these women had unique needs and were suffering different oppressions than those of black men.

So, my question for Dr. Levander is: How did the Plan de San Diego incorporate civil rights and freedom for women as well as men? Or did it?
